My journey: Blending Care, Beauty, and Empowerment
My story is a rich tapestry woven from my passions, dedication, and an unyielding commitment to making a positive impact in both the healthcare and beauty industries. As a mother to three beautiful daughters, my path has been defined by compassion, creativity, and a constant pursuit of growth.
My career in women’s health began in 1999, right after I finished high school and decided to dive into the world of cosmetology, becoming a certified cosmetologist in 2000. This decision marked the start of a lifelong journey in beauty and aesthetics, enriched by my education at Madison-Oneida BOCES and the Phillips Hairstyling Institute of Syracuse, NY. Over the years, I've developed a particular expertise in BABE Hair Extensions, mastering techniques like Sewn In and Fusion, which have allowed me to bring joy and confidence to countless individuals.
However, my ambitions extended beyond the salon. Driven by a deep desire to care for others in a more holistic way, I embarked on a path to nursing. I earned my Associate's Degree from MVCC in 2009, followed by a Bachelor's degree from SUNY Poly Tech in 2021. I have completed my Master's Degree as an Adult Geriatric Nurse Practitioner at SUNY Upstate in 2024. My nursing career has been incredibly rewarding, especially when I received the Nurse Nightingale Award and was honored as one of the first recipients of the “Guardian Angel Program” at Rome Hospital, recognitions that have meant the world to me.
In addition to my work in cosmetology and nursing, I've pursued aesthetic medical education, including Basic and Advanced BOTOX Medical Training. These skills are complemented by certifications in Lanza Education, and Redken Education, underscoring my commitment to offering comprehensive care and beauty solutions.
Outside of my professional endeavors, my life is filled with hobbies that reflect my diverse interests—from shopping and gardening to an insatiable love for learning. These activities not only provide me with joy and fulfillment but also keep me grounded and connected to the world around me.
If I could choose any profession, it would undoubtedly be a Nurse Practitioner. There's something incredibly rewarding about making a difference in someone's life, educating them on healthy lifestyles, and taking the time to listen and learn from my patients.
My mantra, "Never stop learning," is a guiding principle that I live by every day. I continue to forge ahead, inspired to empower and uplift everyone I meet.

Melissa is proficient in styling for men, women, and children, offering a range of services from haircuts to specialized coloring techniques such as balayage, ombre, color melts, root shadow, and both high and low lights. She continues to offer perms, defying the trends of 2024 with her expertise. Melissa is also skilled in creating elegant updos for weddings and dances, ensuring her clients feel their best for any occasion. Recently, she has expanded her skill set to include sewn-in weave extensions, specifically using Babe Hair Extensions, discovering a passion for this method.
Motivated by a desire to uplift others, Melissa has always been driven by the joy of enhancing her clients' appearance and, consequently, their confidence. This ethos is at the heart of Melissa's career choice and continues to inspire her daily work.
Melissa cherishes her time with her family: her fiancé, her 16-year-old stepson, and 6-year-old daughter. The family enjoys a range of activities together!

Jodi Marie, has over 20 years’ experience as a stylist. Jodi began her journey as a business owner when she opened her first salon and bridal boutique, The Bridal Barn, in 2014 and then expanded her business to Elizabeth Marie Salon and Bridal Boutique.
Today Jodi is focusing solely on her salon business with Elizabeth Marie Salon at Kallos Body Bar.
